How many conferences about nighttime culture were held in the New York area between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026, and how varied were they?

New York had more than 40 conferences: 60% were about culture and the creative industries, but none was about the nighttime economy. Three music industry conferences each had one session on club culture. Transmissions NYC, a free half-day summit at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, had a panel on the state of the city’s club culture with the Office of Nightlife.
We counted conferences with a published programme of at least three talks, panels or workshops. Half the score comes from the number of conferences. Half comes from how they spread across four areas: the nighttime economy, the music industry, culture and the creative industries, and bars and restaurants. Trade fairs, academic conferences and online-only events are not counted.
